A total of 11 women at risk of exclusion from the town of Campos del Río have concluded the sewing and recycling of clothes given by the Association 'Abraham Project' in collaboration with the Municipality of the town.
The Director General of Pensions, Assessment and Inclusion Programs Instituto Murciano Social Action, Miguel Angel Miranda, today presented the diplomas of this training activity with the mayor of Campos del Río, Miguel Buendia, and the president of the Association 'Abraham Project 'Nuria García.
In an occupational program participants could learn basic sewing notions, for example, take action, to stitches, seams or make arrangements.
The workshop, through the operational program aims to contribute to training for these women to learn a trade that allows them to promote their social integration and promote their autonomy and independence. "
In this sense, Miralles emphasized that training is a "key factor" to continue along this path so appreciated the work done by the 'Abraham Project' Association and by the City of Campos del Río to provide certain groups of knowledge or skills that enable them joining the labor market.
Finally, the CEO recalled the regional government's commitment to these initiatives and "collaboration with organizations and associations working against poverty and social exclusion to serve the most vulnerable."
