The European Mobility Week is celebrated from 16 to 22 September, the main objective of this campaign to encourage and promote measures to promote sustainable transport and invite citizens to use alternatives to the private car as the bicycle, bus, or just walking.
To this end they have scheduled a series of acts by the municipality of Campos del Río in collaboration with the Consortium of greenways in the Region of Murcia, under the slogan "involved in mobility plans in your area-good move direction-"
The events started at Shelter Station Campos del Río, with receiving more than one hundred participants from local associations, personalities of the municipality, teachers and students of 5th and 6th grade Public School San Juan Bautista , to whom has delivered a backpack of supplies.
Upon receipt, we proceeded to the presentation of the act by Juan Soria, Managing Greenways Consortium, José Iborra, Mayor of Mula and Esteban Guillamón, Environment Councilman Campos del Río.
Then there has been a tour of a section of the Greenway and the most emblematic streets of the old town, concluding with a visit to the Clock Tower and the Church Sanctuary.
The visit was led by students of tourism employment workshop of the Greenway.
The event was closed by Miguel Buendia, mayor of Campos del Río, who thanked the participants attending the workshop and students use their great work of gathering historical, cultural and architectural municipality.
