It was held in Madrid, at the headquarters of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), the constituent meeting of the Committee of Sports, Youth and Leisure, which has seen it as a member of the Mayor of Campos del Rio Miguel Buendia.
The Sports Commission, Youth and Leisure, who chairs Bendodo Elias, President of the Malaga Provincial Council, consists of 25 members representing the various towns, islands, provinces and other Local Authorities nationwide.
Miguel Buendia, has been appointed member of the committee member, and expressed pleasant and satisfactory "that will put all their effort and commitment in achieving the objectives that have been raised in this national meeting."
Universal access to sport.
Universal access to sport in the best conditions and the effective inclusion of young people's life municipality, focus the work of the Commission for Sport, Youth and Leisure.
This Commission will be the instrument of the FEMP to apply at the local level actions and initiatives contained in the Comprehensive Plan for Physical Activity and Sport, increasing the practice of citizenship and incorporating in the design of public spaces, the concept of physical activity as reasons for a healthy and active life.
In particular, pay special attention to the enhancement of school-age sport and promoting healthy habits among the elderly.
To achieve these objectives, promote intermunicipal coordination in sport through the exchange of information and the creation of a Municipal Sports Centre.
At the same time, the FEMP will work with the Sports Council (CSD) in any actions that affect the local sports policy and support the implementation of environmental sustainability criteria in the sports facilities.
On youth, the Commission will promote initiatives for youth participation through the councils of these areas, and recommend the development of local plans that include comprehensive and cross-actions between the various municipal departments to find solutions to the needs of this segment of the population in areas such as employment or leisure, as well as policies to promote the emancipation and access to housing.
At the founding meeting of the Commission has agreed the development of a motion to support the candidacy of Madrid to the 2020 Olympics.
