The president of the Segura basin, Charo Quesada, and the mayor of Campos del Río, Miguel Navarro, has visited the works of flood protection and erosion control in the Mula river passing through this county, whose investment provided amounts to 300,000 euros, which are part of the program that the agency is operating basin for flood protection activities, repair and flood control.
With this action, funded by the Directorate General of Water Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs (MARM), the Government of Spain has fixed the damage that recent floods have resulted in several roads in the vicinity of River as well as new avenues to protect against the bed of the river and its margins.
In particular, the CHS will replace the link of the passage on the Mula River, downstream from the town of Albudeite with adjacent roads on both banks, while with gabions replenish and protect access to the old bridge, located waters above the municipality of Campos del Rio in the right margin.
Also be protected with riprap near the step on the Mula River located between the two.
