The Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana today opened new facilities Child Care Center (IAC) of Campos del Rio, whose expansion cost 520,187 euros, of which 390,140, 75 percent, were contributed by Autonomous Community.
The works were conducted in two phases and have meant an increase of 53 seats which, when added to existing ones, totaling 94.
In the first phase, implemented in 2007, the renovation added 33 seats closer to the center, while in 2008 the second phase materialized, with the remaining seats, 22.
This redevelopment meets the equipment that has enabled the CAI has a classroom for eight babies from four months to one year, two classrooms for 26 children from one to two years and three classrooms for 20 children from two to three years.
For this school year 35 students are enrolled, although the period of registration is still open to fill the 94 seats.
The time of entry to the center will be from 8:30 to 9:30 to reconcile work and family and offer services ranging from high school to summer school, maintained by the City Council and aimed at children aged zero to six years, thus covering childcare twelve months.
The opening ceremony was also attended by the Director General of Family, Gender and Children, Laura Muñoz, and the mayor of Campos del Río, Miguel Navarro.
