Storytelling and Theater for Children's Education
The Department of Education of the City of Campos del Rio launches the new program of Prevention of School Absenteeism that takes place in the San Juan Bautista CEIP and is aimed at all educational levels, from the first year of Infant until the last cycle from elementary school.
The councilor of Education and mayor of Campos del Rio, María José Pérez Cerón, has presented this new educational project and explained that the program aims to complement the usual lessons of each course with new activities that encourage students to avoid absenteeism school .
The project is divided into three levels: Infant, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th of Primary and 5th and 6th grade of Primary.
For children's education, the Storyteller "The lion who wanted to be a dancer" has been devised.
A story that deals with dreams, the path that must be followed to achieve them and their difficulties;
at the same time, he extols values ​​such as companionship, effort and perseverance.
The activity is complemented by "El baile de los animales" and the song "Mamma Mía" by Abba.
For children in early childhood education a theater workshop has been prepared with the representation of a play of theater starring families, which extols the importance of the school and the figure of the teacher and the teacher, as well as the values ​​of diversity, the talents, the companionship and the creativity.
As for Primary Education, in its first two cycles corresponding to the students who are in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades, a workshop has been prepared to design what will be the mascot of the San Juan Bautista school, work that will be developed by groups, which will be responsible for configuring their physical appearance and personal qualities, in addition to inventing, by groups, the slogan, anagram, song and choreography of the pet.
Subsequently, the students will make a mural of the new mascot for its exhibition and subsequent voting.
The activities are completed with a viewing of the awareness video starring the grandparents and grandmothers of the students, as well as the contribution of creative ideas to solve the situations that arise in it.
Continuing the project, the new program of Prevention of School Absenteeism collects for students of 5th and 6th year of primary school study techniques in several sessions, where activities and games will be held to know how our attention and learning mode works, as well as to develop concentration and reading comprehension.
Activities based on the study techniques will also be carried out: underlining, summary, outline and conceptual map.
Pérez Cerón wanted to emphasize that "the participation of all students of the public school San Juan Bautista is completely free."
It has encouraged parents to be involved in these activities through the participation of their children as "the main objective, among others, is to completely eradicate the rate of school absenteeism in the municipality."
Finally, the mayor said that this program is launched thanks to the effort made by the school community of San Juan Bautista CEIP, the Department of Education and the grant awarded to this project by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
