This weekend Los Rodeos celebrate their parties in honor of San José (14/03/2018)

The Department of Celebrations has presented this morning the program of events on the occasion of the parties of the hamlet campera de Los Rodeos that are held every year in honor of his employer San José.

The program designed for all audiences, which runs from Saturday 17 to Monday 19 March, encompasses more than a dozen festive, playful, live, sports, religious and gastronomic activities where traditions are still preserved.

The councilman of Celebrations, Antonia Lopez, has emphasized the important effort that they do every year from the Commission of Celebrations, that coordinated with the council, manage to innovate in the programming at the same time as the most traditional and significant acts of each edition are maintained and that get the participation of a large public, both from the district and from Campos del Río and other neighboring municipalities.

López pointed out that most of the activities will be carried out in the tent installed in the park of the parish, which will avoid any setback due to weather issues, which ensures the perfect development of the entire program.

As for this year's novelties, the mayor untied the Gachasmigas Contest with the participation of the supporters' clubs, the Holi Festival with colorful powders organized by Asociación Dinamización I that will take place on the afternoon of Saturday 17, the concert of the group of rock Thohyt, at 11:30 p.m., and for the afternoon of Sunday the 18th, the performance of the dance school 'Paqui' and the play 'The Driving School Fitipaldis'.

To end the festivities on Monday the 19th, at the Hermitage of Los Rodeos, the traditional Huerta will take place with the participation of the Cuadrilla de las Torres de Cotillas, Pedro Cabrera and later the procession of San José enlivened by the orchestra Los Actuales .

To conclude, the councilor of Celebrations wanted to thank all the collaborators who make these intimate and traditional festivals possible and wanted to make an appeal to all to "participate in them and know this beautiful hamlet and its people", at the same time who recalled that this year, when the celebration coincides in days of bridge, "it is an unbeatable opportunity to visit Los Rodeos and enjoy family nature in a festive and hospitable atmosphere".

Saturday 17

12.00 h: Coexistence Gachamig @ s Colorful.

Pre-registrations in the municipal library.

12.30 h: Collection of flour in carp.

Depending on the number of members per group, the kilos of flour will be given.

13.30 h: Contest of Gachasmigas disguised with Prize for the best disguised peña and best gachasmigas.

16.00 h: Gymkhana Holi, where the winners will have many colored powders that they will use in the subsequent party.

5:00 pm: Holi Party.
