The general director of Agrarian Funds and Rural Development, Carmen María Sandoval, visited today the beginning of the works of conditioning of the municipal rural road 'Next to the River-The Tail', in the municipality of Fields of the River, whose budget ascends to 36,000 Euros , co-financed with funds EAFRD (63 percent), Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment (11.10 percent) and the Autonomous Community (25.90 percent).
The road, with a length of 791 meters and a variable width of between 4.5 and 5.5 meters, connects farms and livestock farms with population centers, regional roads and other rural roads.
This road had a firm with irregularities, blandones and subsidence, as well as narrow areas with danger of falls.
The conditioning works include works such as cleaning of margins, installation of transversal drainage, sane of blandones and subsidence with gravel and cement, regularization and patching with asphalt agglomerate and the installation of a new rolling layer.
They also include the construction of a concrete wall for the containment of land, the installation of security barriers, the enabling of horizontal signage and the reinforcement of vertical signage.
