The PSOE of Campos del Río again publicly denounce a new case of institutional disloyalty by the Regional Government, in this case, the protagonist has been the managing director of IMAS, Veronica Lopez who this morning has visited Campos del Río, specifically the residence Mayor de Campos Club and has done so in the most absolute secrecy without informing the reasons for his visit to the City of Campos del Río in a further display of institutional disloyalty with the local authorities of our town.
The Socialists of Campos del Río hope that the emissary of the Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Violante Tomás, has visited Campos del Río to announce to those responsible for the residence the agreement of new places in Club de Campos, since there are many the families that the Region that wait in the waiting list to obtain a place for their elders in this residence.
We hope that once and for all, from the counseling they will start working for the needs of the elderly of Campos del Río and the whole region and decrease the waiting lists in places of residence and day center, since they are increasingly more families of the Region and our people, who are tired of waiting for a solution, make a great economic effort and move their elders to other private residences in the Region, disbursing figures that are between 2,000 and 2,500 euros per month per seat for retirees or dependents who have been working all our lives in our land and to whom now the public system denies them a decent place in a regional residence, which would give many jobs in our town and region.
From the PSOE of Campos del Río we want to ask the counselor Violante Tomás and the director of IMAS (Murcian Institute of Social Action) to expedite the requests for places they receive from families throughout our region and ensure full performance and continuity of the residence Club de Campos, which today can provide more service and welcome more seniors in their facilities to meet the demand for applications, as requested by our mayor, María José Pérez Cerón along with the mayor of Health, Isabel Cortés, in a meeting last November and from which to this day there is no response from the counseling, and where matters as important and necessary for our people were discussed as the development of employability projects aimed at helping older people as the signing of an agreement between the Murciano Institute of Social Action and the City of Campos del Río that would allow a home help service p
for dependent persons and the creation and start-up of a Day Center in the municipality at the proposal of our mayor, as well as the refusal to enter into regional subsidized projects that provide coverage and care for dependents as well as families at risk of social exclusion through associations such as Columbares.
From the PSOE we want to make it clear that the socialist government team of Campos del Rio will not stop demanding from the Ministry of Family and Equality the needs of the elderly of our municipality, as the socialists are aware of the improvement of the situation and quality of life of our elderly dependents as well as that of their caregivers, for whom we will continue working without forgetting the most vulnerable people who are a priority for the PSOE of Campos del Río.
