The mayor of Campos del Río, María José Pérez Cerón, accompanied by the mayor of Sanidad Isabel Cortés, has held a first meeting since Manuel Villegas was appointed Health Minister of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
At the meeting in which José Carlos Vicente, general director, was present;
mayoress and councilor have asked the council to adopt a series of measures aimed at alleviating the health needs of the municipality.
Among the topics discussed are the start-up of the 24-hour emergency service, since "Campos del Río is considered a unit of special isolation and this service is a demand claimed by the residents since this service ceased in the previous legislature and that from this government team we have been vindicating "affirmed the mayor.
The incorporation of an ambulance that provides assistance service during the 24 hours is another of the health needs that the municipality has since we have a population scattered in areas such as Campos de Murcia and Los Rodeos.
The mayor reminded the counselor that these requests are justified among other issues, because the municipality has an aging population that reaches 500 possible dependents.
Another of the issues discussed in the meeting was the incorporation of the new family doctor who will join the health center next January.
At the end, María José Pérez Cerón praised the meeting in a positive way, stating that "it has been a very productive meeting in which both the counselor and the general director have been receptive to our requests, which after being studied by the council will receive an answer" .
Both mayor and councilor have said that "from the municipal government team will continue working to achieve these priority objectives and necessary for Campos del Rio, as achieved a few months ago when the pediatric service that serves more than 200 children in the municipality was expanded "
