The mayor of Campos del Rio, María José Pérez, has assured that the competition on the roads is exclusive to the regional government, who would be responsible for expropriating the necessary land to enable the remodeling of the RM-531 highway, which links Alguazas with Campos del Río .
"Even the City Council has not yet received the final project to remodel the road, only a draft that the Directorate General of Roads sent last June," he said.
For his part, the regional deputy Alfonso Martínez Baños has pointed out that if the Autonomous Community wants the City of Campos del Río to collaborate, it must be predisposed to work on this matter.
"The City Council is still a leader and with the little information provided by the Autonomous Community, on November 8 it signed a sale agreement with all the owners of affected lands, which will be sent to the Autonomous Community," he concluded.
