Three hashish acorns have been apprehended
The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia in coordination with the management of the Murcia II Penitentiary Center, located in Campos del Río, has recently arrested a person as alleged perpetrator of a drug trafficking offense.
The arrested woman tried to access the penitentiary with three hashish acorns, which have been seized.
The action was initiated within the framework of the devices developed to detect the introduction of drugs in prisons in the Region, on the occasion of visits vis à vis the inmates.
In one of the controls, which the Civil Guard and officials of the aforementioned penitentiary establishment routinely establish in the access points to the Center, the cemeological service of the Benemérita, thanks to the smell of the specialist in drug detection, detected the possible existence of narcotic substances in the belongings of one of the visitors.
After being subjected to an inspection, three acorns of hashish, with a total weight of 25 grams, were hidden in her organism, reason why she was arrested like presumed author of crime of drug trafficking.
The 34-year-old Spanish arrested, the drug seized and the investigations have been made available to the Court of Instruction number 2 of Mula (Murcia).
So far this year, the Benemérita has arrested five people trying to introduce drugs in prisons in the Region.
Those arrested were caught 'in fraganti', in the control of access to correctional facilities, when canine units of the Civil Guard detected several visitors in possession of narcotic substances destined, supposedly, to its distribution among the inmates.
