Last Thursday, September 28, the ordinary plenary session for the month of September was held in the city of Campos del Rio, where the councilors in attendance discussed a total of 10 points among which stand out the unanimously approved mayoral proposal on the participation of the municipality in the call for recognition granted by the 'Child Friendly Cities' program organized by the Spanish committee of UNICEP.
The third item on the agenda approved the mayor's proposal regarding the election, by ballot box, of Justice of the Peace, holder of the municipality for the period 2017-2021.
The two magistrates proposed were Miguel Gómez Gómez who obtained 2 votes and Antonio Sandoval Pérez who obtained 6 votes, reason why by absolute majority, the last one was the one proposed to the High Court of Justice of Murcia like Head Judge of Peace of Fields of the River.
The section of motions was opened by the Popular Municipal Group that requested a reduction of the rates of water and garbage to adapt the income and the expenses by these concepts in the municipal budget.
Motion that was rejected with the votes against the Municipal Socialist Group and the votes in favor of the Popular Municipal Group.
The popular continued on the agenda by bringing to the plenary the motion on improvements in the San Juan Bautista CEIP Urging the Government of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, through the Directorate General of Educational Centers, so that the investments in the CEIP San Juan Bautista can continue and all the necessary actions are taken to obtain a school in the best possible conditions, a motion that was unanimously approved by the attendees.
The third motion of the plenary session came from the Socialist Municipal Group on a new salary model and a new income agreement for Spain adopting different measures and equating the salary increase of the public employees for 2018 with the increase of inflation, incorporating complements which will make it possible to recover lost purchasing power, as well as generalize the implementation of the 35-hour workweek in the public sector without any reduction in economic remuneration.
The motion was approved with the votes in favor of the Municipal Socialist Group and the votes against the Municipal People's Group.
The Socialists raised the following proposal in the form of a motion, this time on the defense of a public pension system that guarantees the maintenance of the social contract inherent in our public pension system, this point being approved with the votes in favor of the Municipal Group Socialist and the votes against the Popular Municipal Group.
The last motion of the September session, raised by the Socialist Municipal Group, was approved with the votes in favor of the Socialists and the votes against the Municipal People's Party and was relative to the support to the proposed law of change climate change for the Region of Murcia, and requested to urge the Regional Assembly of Murcia, in all its political groups to admit, debate and approve the Climate Change Law Proposal as well as transfer this motion to all municipalities in the Region of Murcia to obtain the maximum possible force in the autonomic parliament and can be admitted to process for further discussion and approval.
