The Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries has completed the modernization works at the Campos del Río Water Treatment Plant, which will make available to irrigators of the communities 'El Acueducto' and 'Campos del Río and Los Rodeos' total of 15,000 cubic meters of water per year.
The works, in which a total of 450,293 euros have been invested, will benefit a total of one thousand comuneros of the municipal term of Campos of the River.

The connection between reservoirs has also been made, which has necessitated the execution of two pumps and a pipeline for the connection of the final reservoir to the general irrigation network.
In addition, a photovoltaic panel technology system has been set up to supply the necessary energy for the operation of the plant, which is capable of optimizing the energy efficiency of the whole and preserving the environment.
