The mayor of Campos del Río, María José Pérez Cerón has publicly congratulated the work and the effective work developed by the Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia within the framework of the operation 'QUITAPELLEJOS' in which agents of the ROCA Team (against robberies in The countryside) within the 'Plan against abductions in agricultural and livestock farms', dismantled a criminal group made up of the three arrested dedicated to commit robbery with force on farms and farms of the region of the River Mula.
The first actions were carried out in a farm located in the municipal district of Campos del Río after the commission of the first robbery attributed to the criminal group in which they stole large amount of objects related to the daily work of work in the field.
As a result of various efforts and inspections in waste management centers and metal recovery and recycling plants, the agents located several objects from the criminal acts investigated.
Once obtained all the necessary indications and identified the three suspects, the Civil Guard established a search device that has culminated during the last days with their location, arrest and subsequent prosecution as alleged perpetrators of the crime of robbery with force.
During the various phases of the operation, the agents have seized from objects stolen as livestock, fencing, barriers and other effects related to agricultural and livestock work that, after being brought to justice, have been returned to their rightful owners .
It should be recalled that the mayor of Campos del Río met a few days ago with the Government delegate and the Colonel of the Civil Guard in the Region of Murcia to address these security issues in the agricultural and livestock areas of the municipality.
Pérez Cerón requested the delegate of the Government to take the necessary measures to prevent this type of theft to occur to small farmers and ranchers who are seriously affected by being illegally removed material necessary to carry out their daily work on their farms .
The first mayor proposed in the meeting to reinforce the surveillance in these rural areas of the municipality by a Civil Guard patrol that would allow to dissuade and control this type of infractions.
