María José Pérez Cerón: "We continue working so that Campos del Río remains a welcoming and attractive municipality for those who come to visit us at any time of the year and especially for pilgrims who make a stop on the way"
The City Council of Campos del Rio reports that tomorrow, April 1, a new Tourist Information Point will be opened in the municipality to attend visitors during the weekends.
Located in the Formation Center of Avenida de la Constitución, the new service will have an opening schedule on Saturdays from 11 am to 2 pm and from 6 pm to 8 pm.
On Sundays, the information point will be open from 11 am to 2 pm.
The new service will be taken care of by a student of the University of Murcia through the project of voluntary service thanks to the agreement established between the consistory campero and the UMU.
In the new service will be able to find tourist information of the municipality as places of interest, where to stay, where to eat and other useful information for the visitor during his stay in the municipality as well as information on the history and traditions of Campos del Rio.
As a novelty this year 2017, pilgrims arriving to the municipality on their way through the Camino de Levante to Caravaca Jubilar will be able to seal the pilgrim certificate in these new facilities during the weekend, as well as they will be able to seal it from Monday to Friday at the City Hall.
The mayor of Campos del Rio and mayor of Tourism, María José Pérez Cerón has expressed her satisfaction in announcing this important news for the municipality.
"Tomorrow we launch a Tourist Information Point necessary for visitors that will provide them with all kinds of information about our town during the weekends and that was demanded by those who visit our municipality."
Along the same lines, Pérez Cerón pointed out that "this is one more sample of the work that is done from the City Council in tourism, a very important sector that will benefit our local economy and that in the past was totally abandoned, from this team of Government, we will continue working on this matter and carrying out actions so that our municipality counts on the tourist services demanded by our visitors and neighbors and that Campos del Río remains a welcoming and attractive municipality for those who come to visit us at any time of year and in Special, for the pilgrims that make a stop on the way and that from tomorrow Saturday they will be able to seal their certificate, also the weekends and to be properly informed of the attractions and tourist services that our municipality offers ".
