José Antonio Fernández Lladó, general director of roads, and the mayor of Campos del Río, María José Pérez, visited this morning the repairs carried out on the RM-B31 highway, which connects Campos del Rio with the hamlet of Los Rodeos, at the height of 1,5 km.
The works began last Monday and are going to fix a sinking in the road that occurred as a result of the rainfall episode last December.
In order to eliminate the existing danger and repair the road, we are working on the cleaning and sanitation of the loose materials by transporting them to a landfill and the filling of the socavón with stone material and artificial sawn.
To avoid future subsidence, a curb will be placed that will channel the water down to the drain.
Fernández Lladó said that "the work will be completed next week and supposes a budget of 18,505 euros."
