Pérez Cerón: "It is a decisive step for the urgent and necessary environmental recovery of the river that soon will be a reality"
This week the City of Campos del Río has signed with the Ministry of Water, Agriculture and Environment the agreement to carry out the environmental recovery project of the river Mula in certain areas bordering the municipality campero ..
Under this agreement, the Ministry will contribute 53,000 euros to this consistory to finance the execution of the works and other associated expenses.
The City Council will contribute the amount of the expenses derived from the execution of the works, as well as other associated expenses, that are not covered with the amount of the subsidy granted and the project of the actions to be carried out, which will be tendered, contracted and executed by The local consistory.
Actions to be carried out by both parties
The General Administration of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, through the Ministry of Water, Agriculture and Environment, undertakes to contribute in a single term and as an advance payment the subsidy of 53,000 euros to the City of Campos del Rio, To finance the execution of the works, as well as other expenses associated with such execution, such as technical assistance for the drafting of the project, technical assistance to the construction management and final certification.
The contribution of the Autonomous Community will be made from the investment credits of the Directorate General for Water of the General Budgets of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia for the 2016 financial year.
For its part, the City of Campos del Rio will contribute the project of the actions to be carried out.
These works will be tendered, contracted and executed by the consistory that will obtain the availability of the lands and the necessary authorizations for the execution of the works. It will carry out the subsidized actions, the material application of the funds received and will present the corresponding justification.
Monitoring and Control Committee
Both administrations have agreed on the creation of a Monitoring and Control Commission that will promote and coordinate the actions derived from the agreement and will monitor the agreement as well as its economic management.

The first mayor of Campera recalled "the commitment of this team of municipal government with its neighbors who will soon see how their river recovers to a large extent its original state as we committed to them, we do not stop working on this subject that benefits the Conservation of the margins of the river as to all the neighbors in general as well as to the environment in the municipality ".
