The City of Campos del Río through the departments of Education and Social Services, have put back on track editing 2016 Summer School CEIP San Juan Bautista in which 70 children aged involved between 4 and 12 years.
Schoolchildren learn and through an extensive program, sports, leisure activities and even school refresher two-day campout at the municipal pool fun.
Outdoor games, water games, crafts, dance workshops, theater and easy cooking with participants learn and enjoy new experiences in the summer also visiting other municipal facilities outside school.
The Summer School is open from 10 to 13 hours from Monday to Friday and is coordinated and managed by the local technical specialists in different areas having a psychologist, an educator, a teacher, a children's educator and a technician from the sports council .
The mayor of Campos del Rio, Maria Jose Perez Ceron, visited this week to small and stressed "the great success of participation this year coming to gather 70 students who learn and have fun while living new experiences and relate with children from other courses while their parents work, which is a respite in July for these families, sufficient grounds for the Council to continue organizing this Summer School ".
The first mayor also wanted to highlight jacket and "acknowledge the effort in coordinating the different municipal workers coming from different areas, they form an exceptional team and care for our children on this holiday."
For its part, the councilor responsible for the area of ​​Social Services, Antonia Lopez Sevilla, put the emphasis on that, "the 70 participants in this summer school children, 20 are scholarship recipients as these children belong to families at risk of social exclusion and their places are fully funded by a grant requested by the consistory and from the General Directorate of Family and Social Policy of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia ".
The rest of the seats are also subsidized and families of the remaining 50 students only pay 24 euros for the purchase of school supplies.
