The Department of Women's Hall of Campos del Río in collaboration with the associations of Women "Juana Calderon" and Widows of the municipality, have organized an extensive program of activities to commemorate the day on March 8 on the occasion of the International Day Women and will run until Sunday 13.
A week full of activities of cultural, gastronomic, athletic and playful character, "intended to raise awareness about the role of women throughout history, visible the role it plays in all areas of our society at a time to emphasize issues like real work-life balance and equal pay "pointed the mayor of Campos del Rio, José María Pérez Ceron.
The activities began to develop this past Sunday with the celebration of a convivial meal, where about thirty members of the Association of Women "Juana Calderon" participated preparing a paella and typical sweets jacket gastronomy and accompanying the mayor, Maria Jose Perez Ceron and the mayor of Women Antonia Lopez Sevilla.
Activities continued on Monday afternoon with the opening of the "Women's Week" where jackets women's association held at its headquarters, a coffee get-together later to make a workshop.
Tuesday March 8, the day commemorating the International Women's Day in Campos del Río, will begin at 09:30 am with a breakfast consisting of coexistence with chocolate Monas to continue the journey in the afternoon with recreational activities such as coffee - Karaoke at the headquarters of the association of women "Juana Calderon."
Program activities will continue tomorrow, Wednesday 9, at 11 am, at the weekly market, where commemorative ribbons will be distributed.
At 12 noon in front of City Hall and organized by the women's association, was carried out the act of "THE WALL OF WISHES" where the participants can write messages of awareness about the topic of this week.
At 16 hours afternoon activities began with the group's performance "Contrasts Fusion" Bellydance, which follow a coterie coffee and a film screening at the headquarters of the Association of Women.
On Thursday 10, at 16 hours, the Association of Widows Women Campos del Rio, organized a coffee and pastry contest in the school canteen.
On Friday 11, from 09:30 hours will be held a hiking route through different landscapes of Campos del Rio, for in the afternoon to hold a meeting with women's groups from other municipalities, at the headquarters of the association of women at 16 hours.
At the weekend, the activities continue on Saturday with a trip to the Alicante coexistence seaside resort of Benidorm.
The cost of the trip is 20 euros per person departing from the door of the library Campos del Rio and inscriptions can be made at the Department of Women.
On Sunday 13 and as a finishing touch to this wide week of activities, the association of widows Bobbin organizes a meeting at 11 am at the door of the jeep consistory.
The Councillor for Women's Hall of Campos del Río, Antonia Lopez stressed that this program develops a proposal from the associations of local women, which appreciated their participation and involvement in this important week where "aims to raise awareness the population of respect for women and the importance of the female figure in society ", while encouraged all campers and jackets to participate in activities that are open to the public and are free of charge.
