This Wednesday, the 26th, starting at 12 noon, the Manifesto for Rare Diseases will take place at the door of the Town Hall on the occasion of the commemoration of the World Day for Rare Diseases on February 29.
With the aim of raising awareness about rare diseases and the impact they have on people's lives, this type of public activity is carried out to approach the problem suffered by people suffering from some type of pathology classified as rare.
The event will feature the City of Campos del Río, the CEIP San Juan Bautista and representatives of the Delegation of the Association D´Genes in the town as organizers of the event.
Through the reading of the Manifesto for World Rare Disease Day we want to highlight the important role of the associative movement in the last two decades under the slogan 'grow with you, our hope', because hope has been what It has moved since the beginning.
"Hope is a diagnosis, hope is a treatment."
The claim emphasizes increasing scientific interest, expanding information and knowledge, ensuring the sustainability of research and achieving a system adapted to rare diseases, as well as guaranteeing specialized services, comprehensive care and a care model focused on person.
