The plenary session that once again had the representation of the members of the PSOE Government team approved the adherence to the Health Promotion and Prevention Strategy of the SNS
The ordinary plenary session corresponding to the month of December took place in the City of Campos del Río last days.
Among others, the Plenary approved to urge the Regional Government to remove the tires from the place of La Llana, to be vigilant against the new situation of the canning company Falcon Foods so that its productive unit is reactivated and the execution of road conditioning during 2020 RM-531.
The adhesion of Campos del Río to the Strategy for Health Promotion and Prevention in the National Health System (SNS) was also approved.
All points were approved again only with the votes of the Government team of the Socialist Party and the absence of all representatives of the Popular municipal group.
At this time only the popular spokesman, Manuel García Richard, keeps his act active as a councilor since the rest of the members of the electoral list or have submitted their resignation to the office alleging personal reasons or have not come forward to swear his position as is the In the case of Marta García Egio, she was scheduled to swear in her position during this plenary session, but she also did not provide the necessary documentation beforehand, nor did she present herself to the plenary session.
It is for this reason that it was agreed to publish in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia and the Notice Board of the City Council the requirement to the representatives of the Popular Party in Campos del Río in the absence of communication by any party representative local.
This fact is supported by the Electoral Board and by the Popular Party of the Region of Murcia itself before the consultation made by the City of Campos del Río itself that has been legislating for months without the presence of any opposition representative.
Adherence to the Health Promotion and Prevention Strategy
The City of Campos del Río adheres to this strategy implemented by the Ministry of Health through the autonomies to, through the progressive development of good practices, provide quality information so that all people can enjoy life habits healthy and gain years of life with the highest possible quality.
This strategy establishes different levels of the population to be addressed.
Thus, there are planned actions for children, pregnant women, nursing mothers, adult population and over 70 years for which it is also established individualized monitoring plans.
The Municipal Socialist group presented the following motions to the Plenary:
Urge the Regional Government to remove the tires in the area of ​​La Llana and Campos del Río making use of the budget line for this purpose.
According to the motion, the tires are located on a private estate between the municipal terms of Mula and Campos del Río since 2008, leaving only hundreds of these wastes in the municipal land plot without the owner acting in this regard.
After several requirements, the Regional Government made a withdrawal of tires in December 2018 and approving a 50,000 euros item in the Budgets for the withdrawal of the rest of the materials.
The game has not been used, so it is requested that the cleaning of this site with the approved investment be developed in the end and to avoid causing greater damage to the environment due to the abandonment of these tires without any type of safety measure and control.
The Plenary approved, in addition, to urge the Regional Government to use all its resources so that the commercial Halcón Foods returns to be productive unit in the municipality.
After the recent judicial resolution of adjudication of the productive unit of the canning company, and in the absence of information on the company that has acquired it from various sectors and that mainly affects the residents of Campos del Río, from the City Council they ask that all appropriate measures be carried out to ensure that the project is implemented and the factory can reopen and give work to the residents of Campos del Río.
During the session it was approved to urge the Regional Government to include in the 2020 Budget the execution for the conditioning of the RM-531 road and execute it this year.
The RM-531 is the main link between the Mula River Region and that of the Vega Media.
It is a road in bad conditions, with dangerous curves, without shoulders and with loss of asphalt in several points of the road.
Every day there are dozens of vehicles that use this road to go to their jobs, as well as several buses, two of them with children from Campos del Río who are going to study at Alguazas.
Last summer it was announced that the road improvement work had gone out to tender and shortly after the project was paralyzed again before new expropriations.
From the City Council, these land assignments have been processed again and all the documentation available to restart the execution of the project for which Campos del Río urges to be carried out during this year of 2020 due to the poor condition of the road, danger of its use and the fact of being a claim that has been made throughout various corporations for 20 years.
