The City of Campos del Río hires four people from the municipality who were in a situation of prolonged unemployment and away from the labor market for more than a year.
These workers will perform remunerated tasks, adapted to their qualification and destined to the home help to the group of the third age of the municipality.
This contract has been possible thanks to an investment of 20,000 euros from the Local Public Employment program that the consistory has requested and has allocated to the home help program put into operation.
The mayor of Campos del Río, María José Pérez Cerón, explains that "with this measure it is intended that the unemployed of the municipality return to the labor market during the duration of this program that allows serving the elderly in their own home.
So thanks to this investment of 20,000 euros we achieved a double objective;
reincorporate to work four people who were without a job for more than a year and recover them to the labor market, creating jobs in the municipality;
At the same time, we have been able to provide a service to the elderly in our own home, helping them in their daily and daily tasks and improving their quality of life so that these beneficiaries can stay in their homes receiving quality care without the need to leave Campos del Río and not have to resort to the private sector. "
The first mayor recalled that "thanks to the programs of local public employment, mixed employment and training programs and specific programs for beneficiaries of Youth Guarantee, during this term the City of Campos del Río has generated job opportunities for vulnerable groups of all ages who were unemployed and in addition to a job, we have trained and qualified dozens of campers and campers obtaining results of success ".
To conclude, Pérez Cerón has announced that "from this Government Team we will continue to influence the training and qualification of our unemployed so that they are competitive in the labor market and we will work to grant future programs that continue to provide a new opportunity for the unemployed our municipality and that in this way they can opt for new work options without having to leave Campos del Río ".
