From the CSIF union we want to publicly express our "unconditional support" to the companion attacked last Sunday in the prison of Campos del Río.
Similarly, we want to take the opportunity to condemn "without palliative" the words of the secretary general of the Government Delegation in Murcia when he says that it had simply been 'his sensitivity towards some chemical products'.
The facts were that an inmate threw a corrosive product to his face, it reached his eyes and that hurt his cornea.
"That is a full-blown aggression, that is an assault on an official in the performance of her duties, and that is not the special sensitivity of an official."
As the most representative union in public administrations and majority in Penitentiary Institutions, we continue to warn of the increase in attacks on officials in the prisons of the Region.
Scarcely, in a week, three workers of the Murcia II penitentiary in Campos del Río have been injured by violent confrontations.
This aggression is the story that is repeated "every day" inside a prison, so from CSIF we denounce not only this aggression, one of many, but the real underlying problem: the lack of human resources and the discrimination we suffer in This group, on strike since October 24, in alternate days, to protest this double yardstick of the Administration.
