The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed an investigation that has culminated with the arrest of a young man, neighbor of Campos del Río, as alleged perpetrator of road safety offenses for reckless driving and lack of driving license, severe resistance and injuries to agents of authority and damage.
The investigation was initiated when the Civil Guard and the Local Police of Campos del Río were alerted to the circulation of a vehicle, in a manifestly reckless manner, by the urban area of ​​the municipality, which generated social alarm among the residents of the area.
Several police patrols of both bodies moved to the place and detected the presence of tourism, which circulated on a pedestrian street performing prohibited and dangerous maneuvers, whose driver, far from stopping his attitude at the wheel, continued the march with brusque and evasive maneuvers while disobeying the requirements of the agents.
In view of the imminent risk to road safety and the physical integrity of pedestrians, the patrols were kept at a distance to avoid that the attempt to escape the driver caused greater evils, while placing separate vehicles at the exit and entrance of the road pedestrian to prevent their flight, while requiring the driver, by acoustic and light signals, to stop.
The pilot, seeing himself surrounded, started in reverse until colliding with the police vehicle that preceded him, as a result of which a local police officer was slightly injured and the official vehicle damaged.
He then fled on foot without being reached and, since then, was missing.
With a history of reckless driving and driving without a license
The agents removed the vehicle to submit it to the corresponding examination and initiated investigations aimed at locating its driver, who was known to be a young man, a resident of the municipality, who had already been arrested on previous occasions for crimes of the same nature.
Recently, the investigations have culminated with the location and detention of the male, Spanish, 25 years old suspect and neighbor of Campos del Río as alleged perpetrator of road safety offenses for reckless driving and lack of driving license, endurance serious and injuries to agents of the authority and of damages.
The Civil Guard has verified that the now detained lacks any type of driving license for never having obtained it.
The detainee, the proceedings and the vehicle intervened have been made available to the Magistrate's Court of Instruction.
