This week the technicians of the electricity company Iberdrola and technical planners have visited Campos del Río accompanied by municipal technicians to start work on improving the electricity supply of the town by studying the most viable routes to connect the existing Transformation Centers .
The implementation of these works are the result of the different meetings that the mayor María José Pérez Cerón has held in recent years with those responsible for the company in the Region of Murcia, where from the consistory campero Iberdrola was claimed to invest and improve the infrastructures and energy distribution equipment within the municipality and of which the electric company owns, as well as the improvement of the medium voltage line that is not connected to each other, which causes a breakdown in the same, leave without distribution service to the rest of the zones.
The first mayor urged Iberdrola to invest in Campos del Río and improve its infrastructure in the municipality to match as much as possible to the populations that have the largest population and extension of municipal boundaries.
After these requests, the company will begin to make the corresponding investments that will have a total amount close to 107,000 euros and that include different actions such as the replacement and legalization of partial sections of the Medium Voltage Supply Line between the Center of Transformation of Campos del Río and the A / S junction for an amount of 27,000 euros.
This project is presented and authorized by the City of Campos del Río and pending authorization from the General Directorate of Roads.
"Once the authorization has been obtained, the works that will definitively solve the damages that have been suffered in recent years will begin immediately," explained the mayor.
On the other hand, Pérez Cerón announced the expected and necessary connection between Transformation Centers for which a total of 80,000 euros will be invested by the Iberdrola company.
This action is in the drafting phase of the project and this same week an on-site inspection has been carried out by Iberdrola technicians, design technicians and municipal technicians to study the most viable routes to connect these transformation centers .. "With this action will be resolved definitively the lack of electricity supply when any failure occurs, since the supply will be guaranteed by having ringed connection with other Transformation Centers so that no camper again suffer power outages, "said the first mayor he continued pointing out that "this is the best solution we could find to end a historical problem and demand of our neighbors and that also affected municipal buildings, so I want to thank Iberdrola management for its commitment to our municipality in the improvement of existing facilities that will allow them to be definitively eliminated
the cuts in the electricity supply for the benefit of all the campers and camperas ".
