The Department of Culture of the City of Campos del Río, has launched the first competition of Outdoor Painting to be held on October 21.

Embedded in the 'Campos del Río Cultural' project, the consistory will distribute 900 euros in prizes for the winner, second and third finalist.

The participants will have to reflect in their works - of technique and free theme - some aspect related to the municipality, capturing the beauty of landscapes, environments or related to Campos del Río.

The mayor and mayor of Culture, María José Pérez Cerón, explained in the presentation that each contestant will be assigned a map of the town to communicate from where he is doing his work in situ and to receive the visit of the jury to check the evolution of the work.

Once the creation is finished, the final painting must be delivered to the Town Hall between 4 and 5 pm on the day of the contest for its evaluation by the jury that will be made up of art professionals and who will make public its ruling on the 17: 30 hours.

The registration period is now open and all persons over 16 years old can participate, with registration by email to the following address: biblioteca@camposdelrio.es.

Once registered, participants must go through the City Hall the morning of the contest between 9 and 10:30 hours, presenting their ID to proceed to the sealing and listing of their blank canvas, materials to use and easel that should bring with them each contestant.

Awards

For this first edition, the Department of Culture will distribute 900 euros in prizes;

500 euros for the winner, 250 euros for the second and 150 euros for the third finalist.

The winning work of this First Outdoor Painting Competition, will have to be signed by its author or author and will become property of the City Council.

All the pictures will be part of a joint exhibition and may be purchased with the consent of its author.

The mayor has encouraged all fans, painters and artists, to join this project and participate in the event enjoying an autumn day Sunday in Campos del Río where "the landscapes and the natural environment of our town will be the best inspirational ally of the contestants ".
