The councils of Youth, Sports, Culture, Celebrations and Women are coordinating the programming of activities that will be developed during the last quarter of the year in Campos del Río.
The councilors of each area, together with the department heads, work intensely during these days to set up a program of events and activities that combines the successful classics of each year with novelties that will be released before the end of the year and that will be presented in a detailed in the coming days.
For the month of October the young people will be the protagonists of the new 2018 edition of the traditional 'Campos Joven', which each year increases in participation by the supporters of the town and gains in quality and quantity of activities proposed by the young people.
The Campos Joven is a sports and cultural festival aimed at the entire population where the local clubs compete to win a final prize.
During the weekends of September 28, 29 and 30;
and on October 5, 6 and 7, there will be sports competition activities such as five-a-side football, basketball, table games, night races, gymkhana, dynamic games, as well as cultural and recreational activities such as dances, costumes, drack queen, humor contests, traditional cuisine and pastry, among many other activities designed and developed by the young people themselves who have already met with the Department of Sports to configure the new proposals that this Campos Joven 2018 brings.
In the field of culture, from October 8 to 26, the auditorium of the consistory campero will host a new exhibition of painting and crafts, framed within the Week of the Elderly to be held during the first half of the month and that will collect the pictorial work of Esteban Salvador Vicente, neighbor of Los Alcázares and Joaquina García, neighbor of our district of Los Rodeos.
On Sunday, October 21, the municipality will hold three cultural events;
the first one will be the new Outdoor Painting contest.
The second will be an act of homage to Eduardo García, writer of Campos del Río and author of several relevant works in literature.
To close the day, the council has confirmed the realization of the concert 'Artists of Fields of the River', a musical encounter of neighbors of the locality where they will be able to show their artistic dowries onstage interpreting catchy and well-known musical successes.
On October 24th, Campos del Río will celebrate the International Library Day at the Municipal Library with an activity aimed at children that combines subjects such as education and culture.
To conclude the month, from the 27th to the 31st of October, the municipality will once again disguise itself as Halloween with the components of the Youth and Cultural Association "Dinamización I".
As in recent years and taking into account the success of past editions, the 'House of Terror' will be repeated, which in this 2018 will feature different passes for children and adults where terror, intrigue and fun are guaranteed for all the family.
In November the activities will be about the International Day against Gender Violence, for this reason the Department of Women, will carry out another year, the reading of a manifesto and concentration seconding a minute of silence at the door of City Hall.
This activity of sensitization towards the population, counts every 26N with the collaboration and implication of CEIP San Juan Bautista and local associations.
In December and to end the year, there will be the traditional Christmas and Kings program that will focus on reinforcing the offer for children in the last two weeks of the year with the opening of the traditional Christmas Market, a new edition of the Ruta de La Tapa, activities and workshops for children, musicals and plays aimed at the little ones in the house.
Since the councils of Celebrations and Sports, have advanced that this year there will be a multisport excursion to the Lost Valley that is especially aimed at the participation of children.
Another traditional appointment will be the arrival in Campos del Río of the Royal Postman who will be in charge of collecting the letters of the small campers and camperas so that their Majesties of the East know what they are asking for this year.
In the sports field, the Carrera de San Silvestre will be the protagonist in the month of December, and in the social area, with the purpose of allowing parents to reconcile work and family life, the Escuela de San Silvestre will be put back into operation. Christmas during the period of non-school days.
Also from October to December will be held from Monday to Thursday in the afternoon, the Ludoteca service to further help the work and family reconciliation at the San Juan Bautista CP.
Finally, it is also reported that this year other activities will be carried out that are fixed in the annual calendar due to the success of participation or the significance of them, such as the Solidarity Race of the San Juan Bautista CEIP and the Infant Education Center Virgen del Rosario to obtain funds for the purchase of school supplies;
the commemoration of the Day of the Spanish Constitution in the plenary hall of the City Council with the simulation of a Children's Plenary where students of 5th and 6th grade of primary education will try to make known the functioning of a plenary session, to know what it consists of and how it develops
