The Autonomous Community finances 15 new places to care for the elderly in the residence 'Club de Campos', in Campos del Río.
Specifically, the Murcia Institute of Social Action (IMAS) allocates 551,449 euros to a total of 30 places until May 2020.
This residential complex was inaugurated last year and manages comprehensive services for the elderly, including activities in socio-health services and catering.
The main building has 66 beds for the care of elderly dependents, physiotherapy room, occupational therapy room, medical and nursing consultations, hairdresser, chiropodist, kitchen, laundry and living rooms.
In addition, it has garden areas, outdoor pool and gerontogimnasia park, among other facilities.
'Club de Campos' also has an interdisciplinary team composed of qualified health professionals, occupational therapists, socio-cultural animators and free time.
The Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Violante Tomás, visited this center today and noted that, in addition, his Department allocates 41,580 euros in Campos del Río to provide home help service to dependent elderly people.
The Community serves more than 22,000 dependent elderly people with financial aid and services.
"The regional government is committed to the care of older people with the continued expansion of residential and day center service spaces," said Thomas, who added that "during the current term have created a total of 697 new places of residential services or day center ".
