Interns in Module 3 (young people) of the Penitentiary Center of Campos del Río, who participate in the therapeutic project, of ecological rank, Guardianes de Semillas, of the Templar Association of Jumilla (Murcia) and the Jumillana Cultural Association (Barcelona) that, since May 2017, under the presidency of the Subdirectorate of Treatment is being developed in the garden of the penitentiary establishment with inmates of the Special Treatment Unit (UTE), affected by addiction to drugs subject to a detoxification treatment, have built a honeycomb to promote a colony of bees that promotes pollination while promoting a colony of these insects threatened with extinction.
The inmates use recyclable wood generated by the penitentiary establishment itself, highlighting the added difficulty due to the limitation of appropriate tools by virtue of the application of the rigorous safety standards that are mandatory.
The furniture will be presented and exhibited next September at the National Exhibition Prisoners of Fine Arts and Crafts, cultural event organized since 2006 by the Templar Association in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mercy patron saint of captives, former captives and prison officials , and if it passes the necessary security controls, its location will be determined in an area of ​​the penitentiary center that meets the necessary conditions to live with humans and insects.
