Organized and directed by the Templar Association of Jumilla - ATJ (Murcia), next Monday July 8 will start the second course of professional training for employment in the prison of Murcia II - Campos del Río, with teachers of Cifea (Integrated Centers of Training and Agricultural Experiences), in which fifteen inmates of the Educational Therapeutic Unit (UTE) with problems of drug addiction will participate.
The course will be developed in the penitentiary garden and is part of the Guardians of Seeds Project of the milites Christi, of a therapeutic and educational nature, under the discipline of ecological agriculture in which special attention is given to the recovery and planting of native species murcianas protected and in danger of extinction, a task in which the University of Murcia Botánica collaborates through the professor José Mª Egea, volunteer of the ATJ, and the Jumillana Cultural Association (Barcelona).
At the end of the course, the students who have passed will be provided with the corresponding official certificate of the Cifea, providing the convicts with access to the labor market, and their reintegration into society, once the penalty imposed for the crime committed has been fulfilled.
